"Characters Matters"
Character Matters! It’s a Matter of Fact! The Eighth Grade Peer Leaders, Peer Leader Community Liaisons, and the Student Council Officers performed a play entitled, Character Matters” for students in PreK-5th grade. The performance took place in October in recognition of Violence Prevention Month. This musical play performed by our eighth grade leaders used familiar fairy tale characters to convey important messages about how character matters! Little Red Riding Hood and Friends sang about the “Golden Rule.” Goldilocks and the Three Bears taught about “Forgiveness." The Wolf and the Three Little Pigs imparted an important message about, “Doing the Right Thing.” Cinderella and her mice taught strategies on “Cooling Off.” Many other fairy tale characters shared messages about taking responsibility, being honest, and showing kindness. Our eighth grade leaders were very excited about performing for our primary and intermediate students. Thank you to Gary Charwin for assisting us with this musical play.
